Looting Conflict
Principles
Looting conflicts will inevitably arise from time to time, because there will inevitably be situations not covered by looting priorities.
If you feel slighted or believe that loot, in particuliar guild drops such as hakkari coins / bijous and stuff should be attributed differently, we require you to follow this escalation path:
- After the raid is over, first discuss matters with the lootmasters.
- If you feel you cannot reach an agreement, take the matter up with your class officer. We expect you to be able to make a case with them on why you should get preference for any specific drop type, and get your class officer to become an advocate for your position.
What to avoid
The following actions you should avoid at all costs:
- Complaining during a raid in progress. Sorry, the drop is gone by now, there's nothing which can be changed immediately. But the team needs to stay concentrated while moving on to the next encounter.
- Complaining to the guild master directly. While he determines the overall looting priorities for the guild, the day-to-day detail of attribution has been delegated to lootmasters. They have been appointed because the guild officers in general and the guild master in particuliar trust both their judgement and sense of equity. If any changes in the guild's overall looting priorities have to be made, the lootmasters and the class officers will bring it up with the rest of the officers.
The rule of thumb remains the following: If you cannot make a case with the lootmaster nor your function leader, the guild cannot and will not grant your request for the time being. Please drop the matter.
Failure to adhere to the above may unfortunately result in us and you parting ways. Thank you for your understanding.
